Flaming Wheels Food Truck Launch
On 17th October 2013 we have proudly launched our Flaming Wheels Food Truck.
The idea of the Flaming Wheels mobile food truck was conceptualised to revolutionise the street food vendor concept in Malaysia. By creating a healthy yet bistronised version of various local and international cuisines at affordable prices, we hope to champion a novel on-the-go food experience and at the same time contribute towards a noble cause.
The first-of-its-kind in Malaysia, the Flaming Wheels Truck will offer healthy quality meals, focusing on participating universities in the Klang Valley. This long held ambition of Flaming Wheels was established to provide support and raise funds for Make-A-Wish® Malaysia for the granting of more wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich their experience with hope, strength and joy through the often trying and difficult times they face.
“It is always heart-warming to know that Make-A-Wish® Malaysia is constantly supported by a community that is filled with diversity and creativity that is ever ready to make a difference in the lives of these children. We look forward to the support and success of Flaming Wheels which seeks to inspire and capture the younger generation at heart, creating and expanding a magical and memorable experience for many deserving eligible children facing life threatening medical challenges. It is through granting a child’s heartfelt wish that makes it so meaningful for all of us here today,”said Mr Anthony Ng, Chief Executive Officer of Make-A-Wish® Malaysia.
Gracing the event was Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Dr Jacob George, President, Consumers Association of Subang and Shah Alam (CASSA), Chairman, Selangor State’s Consumer Council Movement, Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs. In commemorating this event, guest and students were treated to a scrumptious meal specially prepared by the team at the Flaming Wheels Truck.
Flaming Wheels is currently in partnership with INTI International College Subang, whose School of Business’ students are engaged in an employer project to enhance the Flaming Wheels mobile food cart business. The project incorporates in-depth market research and analysis for Flaming Wheels. Employer projects are real-life business projects by industry partners undertaken by INTI students to boost their communication, collaboration, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. The projects are components of INTI’s 3 I’s incorporating International Exposure, Individual Development and Innovative Learning to produce marketable and industry-savvy graduates.
“On behalf of INTI International College Subang, I would like to thank Flaming Wheels for inspiring our students and at the same time, creating awareness of the importance of social responsibility as a way of contributing back to the community. At INTI, learning happens beyond the classroom to prepare our students for success in life, and Flaming Wheels’ aspiration to help graduates set up a mobile food business resonates closely with our goal,” said Tan Ling Ling, Chief Executive, INTI International College Subang.
